They are:
- Naturally evolved and not selectively bred
- Smart, robust, and healthy
- Adapted to Indian climate and local conditions
- An important part of the local environment
Why Do They Matter?
- Familiar with their areas and people
- Known dogs discourage unfamiliar dogs from moving in
- Removing them creates vacant territories
- New and unknown dogs may move into vacant areas
- Vaccinated dogs support safer communities
